T.L.C Leadership Academy is a Private Christian School in West Palm Beach serving students ages 0-13. We are seeking to hire a dynamic leader to join our early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire the next generation. Duties
- This position is for a morning person able to open the facility 6:30 a.m. Monday-Friday
- This is a part-time position that can become a full-time position after 90 days.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning to support holistic child development.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and cooperation among children.
- Use effective behavior management and classroom management techniques to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster collaborative relationships supporting each child's growth.
- Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing when applicable to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention practices to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold all child welfare standards to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience and child development instruction skills.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development theories and best practices in preschool teaching.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or movement activities for young children.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners using excellent communication skills.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus.
- Experience working within private schools or daycare environments is preferred; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a lively, engaging classroom atmosphere.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
