Project Manager - Construction (Commercial, Industrial, Storage)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial, industrial, and storage construction projects from planning through closeout. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating internal teams and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule and manage all phases of construction projects including pre-construction, procurement, construction and closeout.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and forecasts; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet cost and timeline targets.

Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance with contract documents, specifications and applicable codes.

Manage subcontractor and vendor selection, contracts, performance and payment processes; coordinate scopes of work and schedule integration.

Serve as primary point of contact for clients, consultants and stakeholders; provide regular project updates, progress reports and issue resolution.

Conduct risk assessments, identify potential issues and develop mitigation plans to minimize impacts on schedule, cost and quality.

Ensure quality control by conducting site inspections, reviewing submittals/shop drawings and enforcing workmanship standards.

Coordinate permitting, inspections and regulatory compliance activities with authorities having jurisdiction.

Lead project meetings, prepare meeting minutes and action items, and ensure timely follow-through by project teams.

Mentor and guide project engineers, superintendents and field staff to maintain productivity, safety and morale.
Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum 5 years of project management experience in commercial, industrial, or storage construction projects; experience across multiple project types preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules and contract administration for medium to large construction projects.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, site logistics, quality control and safety standards (OSHA or equivalent).

Proven experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and multi-disciplinary teams on fast-paced sites.

Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar, and familiarity with construction estimating and document control systems.

Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with a client-focused mindset.

PMP, CCM or equivalent project management certification preferred; relevant construction trade certifications and safety training advantageous.

Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
