Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Shed Setup Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accompanying drivers to delivery sites and set-up sheds, storage units, and related materials at various locations, ensuring timely and efficient installation. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and experienced in entry level construction. A shed delivery helper rides with the delivery drivers, then helps unloads, and levels pre-built sheds at customer locations. This role mixes manual labor, heavy equipment operation, and basic carpentry. The work is outdoors in all weather and requires excellent customer service skills.
- Site Setup: Manually maneuver sheds into yards using specialized machines like a "Shed Mule" (a mini motorized forklift).
- Levelling: Lift the shed using jacks, then place concrete blocks or wooden shims to make the structure perfectly level.
- Customer Service: Review placement with the customer, have them sign paperwork, and process final payments.
- Additional Duties: At times you will be required to help the logistics lead with day-to-day tasking
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED:
- Flexible schedule: Hours are at the needs of our customers
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds regularly and bend, stoop, or crawl under sheds to level them.
- Mechanical Skills: Critical thinking, basic carpentry skills, use of standard construction equipment/tool.
Typical Work Environment
- Schedule: Full-time hours, often with overtime and some overnight trips for long-distance deliveries.
- Physicality: Outdoor work involving dust, heavy lifting, and exposure to heat and cold.

Experience:
- Construction/Carpentry: 1 year (Preferred)
