Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with primary focus of caring for patients awaiting or undergoing neuroradiology procedures within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. Participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Maintains a current New York State Professional License
- BSN preferred
- Certification in ACLS required

Meets and is current and competent with all New York State licensure requirements, not limited to Infection Control and Child Abuse mandatory reporting
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum one (1) of year critical care experience required, two (2) years of critical care experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Good mental and physical health

Activity includes lifting, stooping, constant walking

Finger and hand dexterity and visual and aural and olfactory acuity to recognize changes in patients' condition

The ability to cope with stress and handle multiple priorities is required
