What You'll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and service commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Respond to customer service calls and emergency electrical issues
- Work independently to identify problems and determine effective solutions
- Perform electrical repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Communicate professionally with customers and explain electrical issues and recommended solutions
- Lead or mentor an apprentice when assigned
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company service vehicle
- Complete service documentation and communicate job status as required
- Follow all applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and company procedures
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 emergency on-call schedule approximately every 4–5 weeks
What We're Looking For
- Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License – Required
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical service experience – Required
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead and mentor an apprentice when needed
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and attitude when interacting with customers
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record – Required
- Reliable transportation to and from work when not using the company service vehicle
- Willingness to participate in a rotating 24/7 emergency on-call schedule approximately every 4–5 weeks
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergency service calls when scheduled for on-call duty
Important Requirements
This position is focused on commercial and industrial electrical service. Candidates with residential-only electrical experience will not be considered.
The ideal candidate is comfortable showing up to a commercial facility, diagnosing an electrical issue, communicating with the customer, and completing the work independently or with the assistance of an apprentice.
