Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with the organization’s luxury brand objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure sustainable profitability.
- Manage comprehensive financial reporting processes, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Supervise accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost control, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Oversee treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, investment management, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity.
- Drive business development initiatives by analyzing industry trends, identifying new revenue opportunities, and supporting strategic partnerships within the luxury sector.
- Lead the finance team through technical proficiency in accounting systems, data analytics tools, and financial software to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and other relevant standards impacting luxury hospitality finance operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial management within the luxury hospitality or high-end service industry with a strong background in finance directorship roles.
- Extensive knowledge of IAS (International Accounting Standards), IFRS, GAAP, governmental accounting, non-profit accounting (if applicable), and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, corporate finance, risk management, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial projection model development, data analytics tools, Excel data analysis, and advanced financial software systems.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse finance teams; ability to foster collaboration and drive results.
- Excellent understanding of industry-specific financial concepts such as ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and profit & loss management.
- Exceptional communication skills for interpreting complex financial reports clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to adapt swiftly to evolving industry regulations while maintaining rigorous compliance standards; experience with governmental or regulatory agencies is a plus.
