Off The Path Dispensary is accepting applications for the role of Budtender to support our mission of offering the highest quality cannabis products while providing the best customer service experience in Minnesota. Some of the responsibilities of the Budtender include cordially greeting guests, communicating and sharing product knowledge, notifying onsite management of any customer concerns or complaints, addressing guest questions, and helping customers achieve their desired cannabis experience. Selected applicants will undergo rigorous training to prepare for answering guests’ questions regarding topics such as strains of cannabis, cannabinoids, terpenes, testing, and methods of consumption. Maintaining compliance is the responsibility of all staff of Off The Path Dispensary. Training will be provided to all Budtenders to ensure compliance is met, and continued education will be offered at regular intervals, to include any available updates. Ultimately, an outstanding Budtender should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, provide stellar customer service, be punctual, and ensure that guests leave well-informed and satisfied with their visit and purchases.
Budtender Responsibilities:
- Advising guests on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
- Keeping abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends.
- Processing payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.
- Educating guests on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.
- Checking guests’ identification documents to verify that they are of legal age.
- Taking daily inventory of cannabis products to ensure that the dispensary is adequately stocked.
Budtender Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience not required, training provided
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Applicants must be 21 years or older
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
· Follow all internal SOPs
- Applicants must have night and weekend availability.
- Applicants must pass a background check in accordance with Lower Sioux’s Cannabis Regulations, performed by Lower Sioux’s Cannabis Commission.
