A small San Jose Family Law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team. We are looking for someone to join our team in August 2026, so the position would be ideal for a law student taking the July 2026 Bar Exam or a recently licensed attorney.
Applicant must love dogs, as there are always dogs in the office.
The position will be open beginning August 1, 2026 and hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
Primary duties include:
- meeting with clients;
- drafting correspondence to counsel;
- drafting pleadings;
- propounding and responding to discovery;
- assisting with appellate matters;
- court appearances, arguing motions, participating in trials, interviewing witnesses;
- other activities requested by the firm managers.
Requirements:
- strong work ethic and reliability;
- ability to manage workflow and deadlines;
- full-time;
Preferable:
- family law experience;
- small firm experience;
- familiarity with MS Excel and Word
Compensation based on experience
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
