Step onto the field and play a vital role in creating a fun, encouraging, and memorable experience for young athletes as a Flag Football Assistant with the City of Kaukauna. In this hands-on role, you’ll support dynamic practices, lead engaging drills, and help players build confidence while learning the fundamentals of the game. You’ll work alongside City Youth Sports staff to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development in a positive, high-energy environment. What You'll Do
- Participate in a variety of activities to facilitate participant education in the fundamental skills and strategies for the game of flag football.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities and goals.
- Assist with running practices, drills, scrimmages, and events for students of various ages, grades, abilities, and needs.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up the field, facilities, and equipment before and after classes.
What You'll Bring
- Knowledge of fundamental skills and strategies of the game of flag football.
- Prior player, teaching, or coaching experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to run, stoop, kneel, climb, bend, lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration.
- Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to endure a variety of weather and temperature conditions for prolonged periods of time.
Pay
$15.50 per hour
This is a seasonal position for the dates of the program and does not include benefits. Must be at least 15 years old.
