Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a restaurant/bar setting and possess a strong understanding of food safety and culinary techniques And must be able to work alone. Must show initiative. This role is vital in delivering high-quality meals that meet our guests' expectations while adhering to serv safe guidelines. Must be able to obtain Serv Safe certification within 6 mos of employment. Must be able to read server tickets to prepare food.
We reserve the right to start at a base pay of $10 and as we see the skill set, pay accordingly. Must be able to work ALL shifts, mornings, lunch and evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established standards.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained and used safely.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cook in a fine dining or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary arts
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
