Novare Academy is a K–12 private school in North Carolina designed to prepare students for real life - not just the next test.
We are building a school where academics are intentional and efficient, life skills are embedded into the day, and students are mentored to become capable, confident leaders.
For the 2026–2027 school year, we are launching with three multi-age classrooms:
- Transitional Pod (Pre-K/Kindergarten | Ages 4.5–6)
- Early Elementary Pod (Grades 1–3)
- Older Elementary Pod (Grades 4–6)
We are currently hiring a founding teacher for our Older Elementary Pod. You will help shape the culture, systems, and rhythms of a school that will grow into a full K–12 model.
Our Model
Novare Academy is intentionally different.

- A focused 2-hour academic block (efficient, high-impact instruction)
- Movement and outdoor time
- Project-based learning
- Life skills and entrepreneurship

- Real-world application led by professionals in the trades and industries

The Multi-Age Advantage
Each classroom is multi-age by design.
We are seeking educators who understand that mixed-age communities:
- Foster leadership and mentorship

Experience in multi-age settings is strongly preferred, or a deep understanding of its value is required.

You should be comfortable blending strong academics with hands-on projects, reflection, and real-world skill development.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Education (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (preferred)
- North Carolina licensure preferred but not required
- Experience in project-based, innovative, or multi-age classrooms strongly preferred
- Strong relational classroom leadership skills
- Organized, efficient, and proactive
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Passionate about reimagining education and preparing students for real life
Position & Benefits
This position is a 10-month teaching contract, aligned with the academic school year. There is an option to extend to a 12-month role by supporting and leading summer camps.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $52,000.00 per year
