Shear Operator / Grapple Operator
CRI, a leading industrial scrap metal recycler, is seeking full-time shear and grapple material handling operator to join our Team and work in a fast paced, family-owned business. The position is Full Time, 9 hour shift, Monday through Friday from 5am to 2:30pm.
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator to run specialized equipment used in scrap metal management. The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating material handlers/large scale excavator machines with grapple, magnet and shear attachments such as Link-Belt, Liebherr and Sennebogen in an industrial metal recycling setting.

APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.
· Complete pre-checks and post checks on designated equipment
· Run machine safely and efficiently: shear and grapple run simultaneously in the yard (use of magnet for loading and cleaning)
· Know and understand basic mechanical operations, be able to troubleshoot
· Understand grades of material – follow instructions on what to shear and what to load
· Understand sorting of material and need for pile organization and separation
· Must have time management/planning/organizational skills
· Must be prepared to be flexible with material processing schedule changes
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Experience a plus
· Follow and adhere to ALL CRI policies and procedures
· Document and maintain any, and all, environmental and maintenance paperwork
· *Spanish speaking encouraged to apply. Bi-Lingual preferred but not necessary.

Starting wage is $23.00 an hour depending on experience.
