Warehouse Laborer Duties and Responsibilities
Nu Way’s Warehouse Laborer should be able to work in a team environment and have a great work ethic. The ideal skills are the ability to coordinate, organize and plan. Being dependable with excellent time management and documentation skills is a huge asset. Ability to operate a forklift is preferred.
A Warehouse Worker interacts and collaborates with other warehouse staff on a daily basis and reports to the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor on duty.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Picking, packing and loading customer orders
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Complete logs into inventory
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Skills and Abilities
- Proven working experience as a Warehouse Laborer
- Knowledgeable of warehouse safety procedures
- Great customer service
- Familiarity in inventory systems
- Familiarity with warehousing practices and methods
- Ability to lift heavy objects (60 lbs)
- Ability to obtain forklift license
Education
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse setting
