Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Canvasser to join our outreach team! In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador, engaging with community members and prospective clients to fundraise for the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Duties
- Conduct face-to-face outreach by visiting designated neighborhoods, businesses, or community events to introduce our services and gather insights.
- Engage with potential clients through warm calling and outbound calling techniques, ensuring clear and compelling communication.
- Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to log interactions, update contact information, and track outreach progress efficiently.
- Apply consultative selling strategies to understand client needs, answer questions, and present tailored solutions confidently.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective canvassing strategies and share feedback on community responses.
- Assist in setting appointments or follow-up meetings for further engagement or sales opportunities.
- Maintain professionalism and positive attitude during all interactions, ensuring excellent customer service at every touchpoint.
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade diverse audiences.
- Experience in technology sales or technical sales environments is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce Cloud and familiarity with sales automation technologies.
- Demonstrated success in inside sales, outbound calling, telemarketing, or B2B sales roles.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect effectively over the phone and in person.
- Proven ability to adopt new sales technology tools quickly and efficiently.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with experience in client communication and call center environments.
- Ability to perform warm calling with a friendly approach that builds rapport quickly.
