Duties
- Perform asbestos abatement procedures in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations to ensure worker and occupant safety.
- Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, decontamination units, and proper ventilation systems.
- Safely remove, package, and dispose of asbestos materials following strict protocols to prevent contamination or exposure
- Assist with related construction or restoration tasks as needed, including mold remediation efforts when applicable.
- Collaborate with project managers and safety teams to ensure all work adheres to environmental health standards.
Experience
- Prior experience in asbestos abatement or related environmental remediation fields
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations specific to asbestos handling and removal procedures is essential.
- Background in construction, restoration, or mold remediation enhances your versatility on-site.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as HEPA vacuums, negative air machines, and personal protective gear confidently.
- Strong attention to detail for monitoring safety protocols and documenting project progress accurately.
