Position Title: Commercial Laundry 28ft Box Truck Delivery Driver

Positions Summary:
The Commercial Laundry Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting clean and soiled linen products between the company facility and commercial customers. This position provides reliable customer service by completing scheduled deliveries and pickups, handling laundry products with care, maintaining accurate delivery records, and representing the company professionally at customer locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate company delivery vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Deliver clean linens, uniforms, mats, towels, and other laundry products to commercial customers.
- Pick up soiled laundry from customer locations and transport it back to the processing facility.
- Load and unload laundry carts, bags, and containers using proper lifting techniques.
- Verify delivery quantities and ensure accurate completion of delivery tickets, manifests, or electronic records.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide courteous, dependable service.
- Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or service issues.
- Inspect vehicle before and after routes and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Keep delivery vehicle clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including proper handling of laundry products and equipment.
- Assist with warehouse or laundry operations when needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience driving a 28-foot box truck
- Clean driving record preferred.
- Commercial driving experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely operate a delivery truck or box truck.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry laundry products weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
- Dependable attendance and ability to meet scheduled delivery routes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience:
- Delivery driving experience.
- Route delivery experience.
- Experience working with commercial customers.
- Experience operating hand trucks, carts, or material-handling equipment.
- 2-5 years' experience driving a 28-foot box truck
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to repeatedly lift, bend, push, pull, and move laundry products.
- Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicles multiple times throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Schedule may include early morning starts depending on route requirements.
- Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.
