Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall child development aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain order and foster respectful interactions among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates.
- Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly to meet individual needs.
- Lead activities that promote physical development, social skills, literacy education, and math readiness in young learners.
- Maintain current certifications such as first aid and CPR to ensure a safe learning environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons tailored to preschool-aged children’s needs.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare.
