Join our dynamic team as a Lawn Care and Maintenance Operator, for an established landscape company that has been operating for 25+ years! Where you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing your skills in landscape maintenance, gardening, and equipment operation. You will be responsible for ensuring lawns, gardens, and hardscape features are pristine and well-kept, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of residential or commercial properties. Duties
- Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, pruning, planting, mulching, and optional weed control
- Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate tools and techniques
- Assist with snow plowing, snow blowing, and shovel during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe during winter months
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping equipment
- Strong lawn care skills including mowing, edging, and fertilizing
- Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and power tools effectively
- Familiarity with tree trimming techniques and garden care practices
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects safely
- Prior experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Dependable individual who will show up each day with a positive attitude
