The Tire Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing tires on a variety of vehicles. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing quality workmanship, maintaining clean work areas, and supporting the overall service operations of Vermont Tire & Service.
Experienced Automotive Tire Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform service operations that will include dismounting, computer balancing and mounting tires.
- Perform rim service, tire repairs, TPMS service, oil changes, multipoint safety checks and more!
- Verify tire sizes and specifications to ensure proper fitment and performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services performed.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and report findings to service staff.
- Keep the work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist other team members and provide excellent customer service when needed.
- Support general shop operations such as moving vehicles, stocking inventory, or cleaning as required.
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
Experienced Automotive Tire Technician Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous automotive experience a plus, but will train the right candidate.
- Excellent customer service focused.
- Efficient and productive work habits.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
