Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence and self-care skills through engaging, supportive interventions
- Collect detailed behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Implement ABA therapy protocols designed by supervising behavior analysts, ensuring consistency and fidelity to treatment plans
- Conduct direct behavioral therapy sessions in various environments, including home-based settings and schools
- Support clients with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders by applying behavior management techniques and teaching new skills
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care plans and client support strategies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in educational, clinical, or home-based settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods is essential
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation practices is advantageous
- Experience working within special education environments or school settings enhances your ability to adapt interventions across different contexts
- Demonstrated understanding of ethical guidelines such as the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts ensures responsible practice
- Previous exposure to behavioral health services supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disabilities will help you excel in this role
- Ability to implement care plans tailored to individual needs while adhering to HIPAA standards for client confidentiality
