Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking using <PERSON> pickers and ensure accurate selection of items for shipment or inventory replenishment
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Manage materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and organizing inventory in designated storage areas
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners
- Support warehouse supervision by following operational procedures for construction materials handling or other specialized items as needed
Experience
- Must be Bilingual ( English / Spanish )
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly preferred ( but not required )
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, or pallet jacks is essential
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction materials handling is a plus
- Previous roles involving order picking, or load & unload activities demonstrate readiness for this position
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles in similar settings are advantageous but not required
