Warehouse Associate – Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $17.90 - $18.00 per hour
Location: Long Beach, CA
Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Every Other Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Enjoy every other Friday off!
About the Position
Guidex Group is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing company in Long Beach. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow with the organization.
This position offers a consistent schedule, hands-on warehouse responsibilities, and the opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and attendance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming products and materials.
- Accurately store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Verify shipments and ensure orders match delivery schedules.
- Utilize RF scanners to process inventory and shipments.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided).
- Maintain inventory accuracy and support daily warehouse operations.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Ability to learn and safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, especially during peak seasons.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds safely.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
Work Environment
- Clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Fast-paced setting with daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
- Frequent interaction with warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Team-oriented workplace focused on safety, accuracy, and customer service.
- Overtime may be required during peak business periods.
