Exalt Academy is seeking a dedicated and certified High School Spanish and English Language Development (ELD) Teacher to teach both Spanish courses and English Language Development classes for multilingual learners. This teacher will help students strengthen their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in English while also delivering high-quality Spanish instruction aligned to course standards and district expectations.
The ideal candidate is a strong classroom teacher who builds relationships with students, delivers engaging language instruction, and supports language development in a way that expands access to academic success.

Use assessment data to monitor student progress and inform instruction

Teach high school Spanish courses and English Language Development classes
Deliver targeted instruction that supports English language acquisition and academic language development
Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned to district curriculum and student needs
Assess student growth and use data to adjust instruction
Collaborate with teachers to support multilingual learners across content areas
Administer and support language proficiency assessment processes, including ELPA21, as needed
Maintain compliance documentation related to English learner services
Participate in program development, professional learning, and team meetings
Bachelor’s Degree required
Valid Arkansas teaching license required
ESOL certification preferred
Spanish teaching experience and/or language instruction experience preferred
1–3 years of teaching experience preferred
Familiarity with language development strategies and high school world language instruction
Proficiency in using online instructional and assessment tools
Ability to maintain clear documentation for language support services
Ability to use data to drive instruction and support student growth
Strong belief in the potential of multilingual learners
Ability to create a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Commitment to collaboration, high expectations, and continuous improvement
Skill in supporting students’ academic growth while affirming their language and cultural assets
