Job Summary
ARITHMETIC SOLUTIONS is seeking three dedicated and patient online tutors to provide high-quality mathematics tutoring to K-12 students. Our program partners closely with families in Los Angeles communities, with a strong focus on cultural connection, mentorship, and representation that reflects the students we serve. Applicants must be willing to work as a 1099 - Independent Contractor. If you are committed to helping students build confidence and achieve academic success, we’d like to hear from you!
It is important that ALL who apply have consistent availability during evening hours Monday thru Friday (3:30p - 7:30p PST).
We ask that you include, in your response, your specific availability Mon thru Fri and Weekends. You need not be available for the entire 3:30p - 7:30p PST time frame, but your availability should fall within those parameters. Include days of the week and times.
This role is ideal for tutors who:

Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring in Mathematics (with occasional Language Arts support).
- Tailor instruction to accommodate different learning styles and academic levels.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and engaging online learning environment.
- Use interactive tools and online platforms to enhance student engagement.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality in all scheduled sessions.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and basic Calculus preferred).
- Experience in tutoring or teaching, especially in an online setting.
- Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in using online tutoring platforms and digital whiteboards.
- Bachelor’s degree (or working toward one) in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is a plus.
