We're seeking a detail-oriented CMM Quality Technician to ensure the precision and quality of manufactured components. In this role, you will develop and execute CMM programs, conduct thorough inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso or PC-DMIS to inspect complex parts.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to verify conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Analyze inspection data and generate comprehensive reports summarizing findings and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate precision measurement equipment, including vision systems (Smart-Scope, Oasis, Keyence).
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 standards.
- Identify and document any non-conformances related to product, process, or the QMS.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical/trade school training with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and applications.
- Strong knowledge of computer operations and applications, including CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Experience with internal audits of QMS systems (AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
- Hands-on experience with precision measurement and hand metrology tools.
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
