Job Title: CNC Machinist / Machine Operator – Night Shift
Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and skill level)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Training on 1st Shift (Day) for 3–4 weeks before moving to Night Shift
Position Summary:
We are hiring 4–6 CNC Machinists or Machine Operators to join our night shift team. This is a hands-on role for individuals with strong machining skills, ideally those with experience in CNC machine setup, G-code, and precision measurement. Candidates must be familiar with micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Qualified CNC Machinists will be offered higher pay based on experience, while Machine Operators with strong measurement skills may be considered for roles on the lower end of the pay scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently during the night shift
- Set up machines and input/edit G-code as needed (for CNC Machinists)
- Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to inspect parts
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or job orders
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards and production timelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a CNC Machinist or Machine Operator required
- Proficient in reading G-code and setting up CNC machines (Machinist level)
- Strong understanding and usage of micrometers and calipers (required for all candidates)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to train on 1st shift for 3–4 weeks
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Formal CNC training or certifications
- Experience with multiple machine types or tooling systems
