Position: Daycare/Preschool Music Instructor and Summer Camp Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic music Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and children, along with the ability to create a fun and engaging learning environment. Instructors commute to daycare/preschool centers in the Columbus area to teach music classes to students ages 0-6 that are each ~30 minutes long. Shifts at each location are between 2-4 hours, typically starting between 9-10am. All instructors are given paid training, as well as a comprehensive curriculum to use in their classes.
Current shift openings: We are currently looking for people with availability 2-5 mornings a week to both hold regular shifts, and be a substitute for other regular instructors. Our current openings include schools in Grove City, Columbus, Hilliard, Worthington, and Dublin.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging music lessons tailored to young children in daycare and preschool settings.
- Foster a joyful and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe and excited to learn
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and developmental stages.
- Encourage and support children’s musical growth, creativity, and self-expression.
- Maintain integrity and honesty in all interactions with children, parents, and staff.
- Ensure timeliness and consistency in lesson delivery and attendance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child’s progress and any upcoming music events or performances.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- A joyful demeanor and a passion for working with young children necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Reliable transportation to travel between different daycare/preschool locations.
- Commitment to the values of integrity, honesty, and timeliness.
- A background in music, early childhood education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching music to young children is highly desirable.
- Strong musical skills, including proficiency in one or more instruments preferred.
- Confidence singing with children required.

Pay is commensurate with experience and starts at $20-$25/hour.
