Job Overview
Metal Line Fabrication, Inc. has immediate openings to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Hand and Guardrail Fabricator. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of handrails and guardrails for commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate has experience working with metal, strong welding skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate metal handrails and guardrails using cutting, bending, and welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, and welders.
- Assemble components and verify proper fit-up and dimensions.
- Perform on-site installation of fabricated railings, when required.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and contractors to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Knowledge of materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction site practices.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)
- Experience installing railings on construction sites
- Forklift or aerial lift certification
Working Conditions:
- Shop and field environment; exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- May require standing, bending, lifting, and using power tools for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
