Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Worker to join our construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various building projects, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that construction activities progress smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Your hands-on work will contribute directly to the successful completion of residential, commercial, or renovation projects. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict safety standards and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools and equipment
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, finishing, and formwork construction
- Support rebar installation, concrete pouring, concrete cutting, and finishing activities in accordance to timeline
- Perform masonry work, framing carpentry including metal stud framing, trim carpentry, stucco application.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations; wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Assist with heavy lifting, material handling, demolition, restoration work, and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment
- We are based throughout the city mostly in the Manhattan area
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive role is highly preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and proper use of hand tools and power tools
- Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Skills in concrete forming, concrete pumping, rebar installation, plastering, caulking, flooring installation, masonry, renovation work, and restoration are required.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work on-site for extended periods while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
