Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of our youngest learners. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum plans tailored to infants’ developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and sensory exploration.
- Lead daily classroom routines, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques to foster social-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss individual needs, and support early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and student interns, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and child development best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's developmental milestones, health information, and individualized education plans (IEPs) if applicable.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare policies at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly in toddler care or preschool environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education strategies for infants.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or Montessori methods is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff members, and external professionals.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate math concepts, physical education activities, and age-specific learning objectives.
