Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance "Handy man" to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and mechanical knowledge, with experience in HVAC/R systems, a plus put not required, electrical work, and various maintenance tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of hotel facilities, providing exceptional service to guests while maintaining high standards of safety and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, including PTAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance tasks and schedules.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Operate scissor lifts and other machinery safely for maintenance tasks at height.
- Execute welding tasks, including stick welding, as required for repairs or modifications.
- Collaborate with General manager to procure necessary parts and materials for maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including analysis of equipment performance using precision measuring instruments like ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests by addressing maintenance concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar role within a manufacturing facility or hotel environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with PTAC systems and the ability to perform repairs and installations.
- Electrical experience, including high voltage and low voltage systems, is essential.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent analysis skills to diagnose problems effectively and implement solutions efficiently.
- Military experience is a plus but not required; however, a strong work ethic is essential.
