Part Time Dishwasher
Busche Academy is a private coeducational boarding and day school grades 6-12 in Chester, New Hampshire, offering a pre-college, multicultural education to a diverse student body hailing from all corners of the world.
We are searching for organized, energetic kitchen staff to join the Busche Academy team. Position is Part Time 2 nights a week, Saturday's and Sunday's, with occasional weekday coverage.
We will Conduct Interviews the first week of August, as the School Year and Training Starts on 8-25-26
Shifts are 4 pm to close daily. Dining Closes at 6.30p, exit time is generally 7.15 - 7.30pm
Pay rate is $20 Per Hour
Job Description: Part-Time Dishwasher
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Dishwasher to join our team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring the efficient operation of our establishment. Your primary responsibility will be to wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment using a commercial dishwasher and 3-bay sink, supporting the kitchen staff in their daily tasks. removal of trash and floor maintenance. Key Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing: Operate a commercial dishwasher and three bay sink to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans used in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Sorting and Storing: Sort and stack clean and dried dishes, glassware, and utensils properly in designated storage areas to maintain an organized and efficient kitchen workflow.
- Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen area, including emptying trash bins regularly.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, such as dishwasher, sinks, and workstations, to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Support Kitchen Staff: Collaborate with the kitchen team by helping with food preparation, if needed, and helping during peak times or special events.
- Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Time Management: Ensure timely completion of dishwashing tasks and other assigned duties while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory. Training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks comfortably.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
- Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are essential for the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends. We are a boarding school and open 7 days a week.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety principles and practices is an advantage,
