American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience, Epic proficiency, and a WA or compact RN license.

Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
-
Unit consists of 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
-
Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low-risk antepartum, OB-GYN surgical, pre-op, and post-op cases
-
Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
-
Procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
-
Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries

Responsibilities span couplet care, GYN surgeries, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30

Floating required to post-partum and NICU based on skill set
-
Uses Epic EMR (experience required)

Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate

ACLS preferred

Epic EMR experience required

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
-
Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Former permanent staff of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation period
-
All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Minimal RTO is expected for this position; limited time-off requests should be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
