Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental and orthodontic procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, including 3D scanners and X-ray machines.
- Experience in Ortho is a MUST
- Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with dental/ortho team members to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a pediatric setting
- Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and medical imaging
- Knowledge of EMR systems, particularly Open Dental is a plus
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform chairside assisting
- Experience with X-Ray procedures
