We have an immediate opening for a Tire Mounter Operator on 1st Shift to join our team with an excellent OE company in the Greer, SC area.
1st Shift hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday-Friday, with occasional OT and Saturdays
Pay Rate is $20.00/hour (Weekly pay)
Steel Toe shoes are a MUST
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Mounter will be responsible for assembling specific wheels and tires in a production setting (OTR/Multi-assembly tire mounting experience is a PLUS)
- This role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to operate specialized equipment.
- Must follow specific detailed procedures to ensure that production is performed according to company standards, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the operation.
- Mounting of single piece wheels and vehicular sized tire
- Balancing assemblies using an auto-balancer
- Prepare products for mounting / balancing by conducting inspections to ensure all components are complete, and functional, identifying any discrepancies before proceeding
- Ability to wear and effectively use personal protective equipment as required
- Steel Toe shoes are REQUIRED (Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs are provided)
- Ability to understand customer blueprint drawings
- Ability to move, stack, and store wheels, tires, and other components with equipment, if needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other reasonable duties assigned by manager

- Basic tire, mounting, and balancing knowledge is PREFERRED, but not required

Physical Requirements
- Ability to move freely with unrestricted mobility
- Able to lift up to 80lbs unrestricted, team lift, and frequent lifts of up to 20lbs
- Frequently picking up vehicular sized wheels and tires for assembly process
- Frequent standing, twisting, bending and lifting
Work Environment
- Working with a team in a production environment
- Exposure to heat and cold
- Frequent exposure to tire related chemicals
- Noise level may be moderate, safety equipment provided as needed
- Ability to work overtime, if needed
Other Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or packaging experience a plus, but not required
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- High School Diploma/GED are NOT Required
- Forklift experience is a PLUS, but is NOT required
- Client testing will be conducted
- Will complete a 2-day paid Orientation onsite to begin assignment (computer-based training modules)
- Background/Drug screen will be completed
- Must be able to work in a non climate controlled environment
