Responsibilities: 1st shift 4am- 3:30pm Monday - Friday (short day)
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, including incident reports, investigation findings, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
- Provide training and education on safety topics, including CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor workers' compensation claims and work with insurance providers to ensure timely processing and resolution.
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in safety regulations to proactively address potential risks.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers compensation laws.
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis for safety incidents.
- Proficient in report writing and documentation of safety-related activities.
- Familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) practices.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Knowledge of occupational health principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
