Low Voltage Project Manager

Position Summary
Energy Management Services (EMS) is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial low voltage projects throughout the Houston area and surrounding markets. This role is responsible for managing projects from kickoff through closeout while overseeing schedules, manpower, subcontractors, materials, budgets, and customer communication.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing low voltage construction projects and a strong background in structured cabling, access control, CCTV, fiber, fire alarm, or integrated technology systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage low voltage projects from pre-construction through completion
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and project schedules
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project scope
- Track project budgets, labor hours, change orders, and procurement
- Lead customer meetings and maintain strong client relationships
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Oversee project documentation, billing, forecasting, and closeouts
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover
- Support manpower planning and resource allocation across multiple projects
- Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with company and customer standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Low Voltage Project Management experience
- Strong background in one or more of the following:
- Structured Cabling
- Access Control
- CCTV / Video Surveillance
- Fiber Optics
- Fire Alarm Systems
- DAS / Wireless Systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Experience managing commercial and/or industrial construction projects
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- BICSI or manufacturer certifications are a plus
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, mission critical, or data center environments preferred
