The Senior Accountant's Responsibilities

Own assigned aspects of the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and account analysis.

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, and bank reconciliations.

Analyze financial results and investigate account fluctuations and variances.

Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.

Review corporate credit card activity and ensure proper coding and documentation.

Assist with cash forecasting and liquidity reporting.

Support external audit requests and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Partner with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed, including collection support.

Contribute to process improvements, internal controls, and accounting best practices.

Participate in special projects, financial analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

4+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting.

Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.

Proven balance sheet reconciliation and journal entry experience.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, LOOKUP functions, and large data set analysis.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Experience with project-based, construction, field service, or similar operational environments is a plus.

ERP experience preferred.
