Duties
- Assist customers in selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories based on their vehicle needs, utilizing product knowledge and diagnostic skills.
- Manage inventory levels through effective inventory control, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment to ensure product availability.
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales transactions accurately while handling cash and credit payments with professionalism.
- Maintain organized stock shelves, perform stocking duties, and ensure all parts are properly labeled and stored for easy access.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating strong communication skills and friendly phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with the service department on automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance recommendations, and repair procedures.
- Support dealership marketing efforts by promoting special offers, new products, or services to enhance sales performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair or automotive service environments; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar software tools.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and automotive repair techniques.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with retail math, marketing strategies, Microsoft Excel, POS systems, and retail sales processes.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while demonstrating professionalism in cashiering duties.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management and order fulfillment tasks.
- Valid driver’s license preferred; familiarity with dealership operations and retail math enhances success in this role.
