Tyack Law Firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing trial practice. This position offers hands-on experience in criminal defense, personal injury, and civil litigation, with courtroom appearances, client interaction, legal research and writing, trial preparation, and trial.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in criminal defense, personal injury, and civil litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and witnesses.
- Review and analyze case files, evidence, medical records, and discovery materials.
- Travel to courts and related proceedings throughout the region as required.
- Maintain organized case management and meet litigation deadlines.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Ohio or awaiting Ohio bar results.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Courtroom, clerkship, internship, or trial advocacy experience is a plus.
