Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) piping Installer to join our dynamic HVAC installation team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, connecting, and testing VRF piping systems that are essential for efficient climate control solutions in commercial and residential buildings. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of piping networks with HVAC systems, contributing to optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Install VRF piping systems according to schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design specifications, ensuring precise measurements and secure connections.
- Connect refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and mechanical components following industry standards and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to piping leaks, system malfunctions, or installation errors using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical testers.
- Collaborate with the service team to perform system start-up, testing, and commissioning of VRF units for optimal operation.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment troubleshooting on HVAC systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning units, boilers, and building automation systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, schematics updates, and service reports for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize hand tools effectively to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems installation.
- Service technician experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair, maintenance procedures, and electrical diagnostics.
- Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Mechanical knowledge of refrigerants, piping techniques, plumbing connections, and building automation systems.
- Familiarity with electrical systems related to HVAC equipment installation and repair.
- Experience working with hand tools and mechanical systems repair in a construction or service environment.
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during installations or troubleshooting visits.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in HVAC design or electrical diagnostics are a plus.
