Position Summary
ICE is seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Specialist to support and maintain the technology infrastructure that powers our growing multi-state organization. This position provides advanced Tier II/III technical support while assisting with the administration, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise systems, end-user computing environments, and IT infrastructure.
The Senior IT Support Specialist serves as a technical resource for employees across multiple offices, participates in enterprise technology projects, mentors junior IT staff, and collaborates with IT leadership to improve operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and the overall employee technology experience.
This position is based in Houston, Texas, and primarily supports employees in Houston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio, with occasional travel to other ICE offices as business needs require.
Essential Responsibilities
Enterprise Systems Administration
- Support the administration and maintenance of Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), endpoint management solutions, and other enterprise technologies.
- Assist with system upgrades, software deployments, security initiatives, and technology lifecycle management.
- Support user account administration, permissions, device provisioning, and endpoint security.
- Monitor system performance and assist in identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and security.
Technical Support
- Provide advanced Tier II/III technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, CAD plotters, phone systems, and related technologies.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and operating system issues.
- Support remote and onsite users across multiple office locations.
- Escalate and collaborate on complex technical issues while maintaining ownership through resolution.
Technology Deployments
- Configure, image, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and associated hardware.
- Coordinate equipment procurement, inventory management, asset tracking, shipping, and replacement schedules.
- Assist with office expansions, relocations, infrastructure improvements, and technology implementations.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset records, and support procedures.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting employees with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Mentor junior IT staff by providing technical guidance and sharing best practices.
- Collaborate with the IT Director and other team members on strategic technology initiatives.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance technology services and operational efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience required. Bachelor's degree in preferred.
- Ten years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Certified:
- Modern Desktop Administrator - Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Azure Administrator - Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), endpoint management, and enterprise desktop support.
- Endpoint Administrator: Experience deploying and supporting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Experience supporting Autodesk products and engineering software.
- Experience supporting Cisco networking environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and enterprise device management.
- Experience working in an engineering, architecture, consulting, or professional services environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional customer service.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel approximately 10–20%, including occasional overnight travel.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment with occasional travel to support other ICE office locations. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position based in Houston, Texas and will support the San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas offices. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexible scheduling may be available based on business needs and supervisor approval. Participation in an after-hours on-call rotation and occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support system maintenance, technology implementations, or emergency response.
