Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including operating manual transmission vehicles and handling a dump trailer and occasional flatbed. This role involves transporting freight efficiently and safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Follow designated routes for timely delivery while being adaptable to changes in schedules or routes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with various types of trucks including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and flatbed trailers is preferred.
- Experience in route driving and delivery driver roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols in commercial driving.
