This position is responsible for supporting our commercial lenders on business and commercial banking products and services. The Commercial Relationship Specialist provides administrative and lending support while assisting the members with new accounts. Responsible for the sales, service, and retention of commercial relationships. Works independently to manage and develop commercial accounts that meet the credit union's lending requirements.
Open new business accounts to support disbursement of funds and extension of new loans
Answer member inquiries on business and commercial products, services, accounts and policies; promote cross-selling; research and correct account discrepancies
Assist Commercial Lenders with originating new business and commercial loans, including discussing loan terms, collecting and reviewing financial packages, preparing application documents, and submitting to underwriting
Process wire requests, loan payments, and withdrawals on lines of credit for business and commercial members
Provide business and commercial lending support
Provide assistance to the business and commercial members in all areas of the members’ relationship with the credit union, including loans, deposits, and other credit union services
Work closely with lenders, underwriters, loan servicing, processing and documentation areas to ensure satisfactory closing of loans.
Work closely with lenders, underwriters, and loan operations to ensure satisfactory on-going monitoring of loans
Work closely with treasury management and deposit operations to ensure satisfactory on-going monitoring of depository/treasury management accounts/services
Collect photos and other pertinent documentation for internal appraisals and environmental reviews
Assist with maintaining lending portfolios - clear loan, collateral and deposit exceptions, credit exceptions, assist with past dues
Obtains credit information and ensures sufficient loan collateral
Coordinate and assist with loan documentation/funding, LaserPro, and ability to review and basic understanding of attorney prepared documents
Assist other areas of business solutions and serve as back up with administrative support when needed
Be able to identify members' needs and credit union products/services
Maintain familiarity with and follow all policies, procedures and processes which have been established in order to meet compliance requirements of all applicable federal regulations. The regulations include but are not limited to the Privacy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg CC and Patriot Act
