Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries related to lawn care, landscape maintenance, floral design, and gardening supplies
- Provide expert advice on horticulture practices, plant selection, and outdoor maintenance techniques
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, sales transactions, and refunds
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to enhance visual appeal
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock replenishment, and assisting with inventory counts
- Offer multilingual assistance to accommodate diverse customer needs and improve overall service quality
- Educate customers on e-commerce options for online orders or product information to expand their shopping convenience
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for gardening, floral design, or horticulture is highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math ensures smooth transaction processing
- Strong communication skills in English are essential; multilingual abilities are a plus to connect with a diverse clientele
- Knowledge of lawn care equipment, landscape maintenance tools, or floral arrangements enhances your ability to assist customers effectively
- Organizational skills are important for stocking shelves efficiently and maintaining an attractive store environment
