We're looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor who thrives on the shop floor, enjoys developing people, and leads by example. This is a highly visible leadership role, with approximately 80% of your time spent on the production floor coaching employees, reinforcing standards, identifying improvement opportunities, and helping teams solve problems in real time. Your focus will be on driving safety, quality, productivity, and skill development through active engagement with the team.

Schedule
Core Hours
- Monday through Thursday: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM
While overtime is infrequent, candidates must be willing to work occasional weekends or extended shifts when production needs require.
What You'll Do
Lead Daily Production Operations
- Serve as a technical resource across welding, grinding, painting, assembly, and related production areas
- Help coordinate workflow to achieve production schedules
- Monitor production activities and communicate challenges or delays
- Support production efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement efforts
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements
Train and Develop Employees
- Become proficient in all major production operations and workstations
- Serve as the primary trainer for new employees
- Train employees on safety procedures, quality standards, equipment operation, and work instructions
- Cross-train team members to improve workforce flexibility
- Evaluate training progress and employee development
- Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring, and instruction
- Maintain training records and standardized training procedures
Support Employee Performance
- Observe and document employee performance
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
- Assist employees in achieving performance goals
- Recognize strong performance and address concerns professionally
- Support disciplinary and corrective action processes in coordination with management
- Promote accountability and positive working relationships
Promote Safety and Quality
- Lead by example in following all safety policies and procedures
- Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to work safely
- Support OSHA and company safety compliance
- Participate in safety inspections and incident investigations
- Reinforce workmanship and quality standards
- Verify adherence to specifications, drawings, work instructions, and procedures
- Help reduce defects, scrap, and rework
Support Team Communication
- Foster teamwork and positive morale throughout the facility
- Serve as a communication link between employees and management
- Conduct shift meetings and toolbox talks as needed
- Help resolve workplace concerns and support employee engagement initiatives
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain training and performance documentation
- Assist with attendance tracking and timecard review
- Participate in production and safety meetings
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in welding, fabrication, grinding, assembly, painting, or related manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to train, coach, and develop employees
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and work instructions
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Preferred
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Associate’s or Batchlor’s degree in related field
- Welding experience
- ERP system experience
- Lean Manufacturing and/or 5S experience
- Forklift certification and experience
- First Aid certification

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment
- Ability to demonstrate production tasks and equipment operation
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
