Located in Lancaster, SC, LCI-Lineberger Construction Inc. is a heavy highway and civil construction firm providing a wide range of services including paving, reclamation, grading and site development, asphalt manufacturing and trucking. Are you built for production paving, long days, and work that has to be right the first time?
We are hiring for a heavy highway paving crew and we need people who know what it takes to keep a paving operation moving. We are looking for dependable crew members for paving equipment operator, roller operator, screed operator, broom operator, shovel, lute, and laborer positions who understand that production, safety, and mat quality all matter every day.
This is not light-duty work. It is heavy highway paving in South Carolina heat, around moving equipment, live traffic conditions, and tight schedules. If you take pride in clean joints, proper depth, smooth finishes, and doing your part without being chased, we want to hear from you. If you are looking for easy work, do not apply.
What We Need:
-
Operators: Experience running paving equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining consistent operation, following grade and paving tolerances, and communicating with the foreman and crew.
-
Roller Operators: Know how to achieve density, maintain proper rolling patterns, watch temperature, and work with the paving crew to help deliver a smooth, uniform mat.
-
Screed Operators: Understand head of material, depth, slope, and screed control, and can help maintain a consistent mat with minimal handwork and strong finish quality.
-
Broom Operators: Able to operate power broom equipment safely, keep the surface properly cleaned and prepared, and support the crew before and after paving operations.
-
Shovel Hands: Able to place and move material where needed, keep the operation tight, support the paving train, and stay productive in fast-paced, high-temperature conditions.
-
Lute Men: Skilled at working the mat, shaping edges and joints, correcting low spots, and helping deliver a clean finished surface ready for compaction.
-
Laborers: Willing to do the hard work—clean-up, preparation, hand work, supporting the crew, and handling whatever is needed to keep the job moving.
-
All Positions: Show up ready to work, follow safety requirements, handle outdoor conditions, and work as part of a crew that depends on each other.
What You Get:
-
Steady Work: Join a heavy highway paving operation with real production expectations and a crew that works.
-
Competitive Pay: We pay for people who bring effort, skill, and reliability to the job.
-
Opportunity to Grow: If you can perform, learn, and carry your weight, there is room to advance.
-
A Crew That Cares About the Finish: You will work with people who understand that quality matters and that every position on the crew affects the final product.
The Bottom Line:
If you know paving, understand crew work, and are ready to earn your place on a heavy highway crew in South Carolina, we want to talk. If you need to be pushed every day or you cannot handle heat, pace, and accountability, this is not the job for you.
