Van Truckload Driver Instructor
Home time: Daily
Experience: 12 months or greater CDL experience

Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.

Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.

Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.

Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.

Teach driving skills that align with Schneider’s guidelines and materials.
-
Show drivers how to use Schneider’s electronic tablets and workflow system.
-
Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
-
Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.

Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.

Previous instructor or training experience preferred.

Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneider’s company policies and procedures.

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

DOT physical card.

Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.

Live within 60 miles of Carlisle, PA.
