Our company, a leading entity in the construction industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to:
1. Overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded in line with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
2. Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
4. Managing and maintaining the company's asset register, including regular audits and depreciation calculations.
5. Analyzing financial data to identify our company’s financial status and performance.
6. Participating in budgeting processes and implementing cost-reduction strategies.
7. Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
8. Developing and implementing effective accounting policies and processes.
9. Providing financial advice and guidance to the management for decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as a CPA will be considered a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on account reconciliations.
3. Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
4. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
5. Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.
6. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Excellent numerical skills with an ability to spot inaccuracies.
8. The ability to handle time-sensitive tasks.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Familiarity with the construction industry will be considered an advantage.
