Duties
- Safely handle and monitor animals during feeding, grooming, boarding and daycare, ensuring their well-being at all times
- Monitor animals’ behavior and health, reporting any concerns to staff or management promptly
- Assist with activities to promote good behavior and socialization among dogs and other animals
- Maintain clean and sanitary kennels, play areas, and grooming stations to uphold health standards
- Provide pet sitting services, including feeding, walking, administering medication, and offering companionship
- Support pet grooming routines such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals comfortable and clean
- Heavy lifting of supplies, crates, or animals when necessary, following proper safety protocols
Experience
- Previous kennel or animal care experience is highly preferred, especially with dogs or in veterinary settings
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a strong asset
- Familiarity with pet grooming procedures and pet sitting responsibilities
- Customer service experience that demonstrates professionalism and compassion in working with pet owners
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Strong understanding of animal restraint techniques and animal care standards

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
